Who gets Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and why? Many people think it is due to repetitive work–doing the same movement over and over. Sometimes that is true but more often it is due to doing the repetitive work incorrectly or in an incorrect posture.
Sometimes when we learn a new job or hobby we learn to do it in a “bad” posture. I mean a posture that your body doesn’t like.
Or, maybe over the years your posture has failed because you haven’t been constantly fighting gravity–and winning the fight.
Gravity is a strong force. When your heavy head moves forward in front of your body, gravity can grab it and keep it in that forward position.
Why does this matter to you?
There are muscles in your
neck that can cause Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Muscles are the most common cause of carpal tunnel pain. Muscles are also the most commonly overlooked cause. Most doctors just don’t know much about them or pay much attention to them.
But muscles are powerful!
When muscles are unhappy (like when they are overstretched from poor posture or working too hard) they can and will cause pain and symptoms in places like your hand, wrist and arm.
Muscles rule!
You have a smart body. It wants to be well. You CAN have relief from your carpal tunnel pain! I’d love to help.
