Carpal Tunnel Syndrome has several possible causes. That means it also has several potential cures!
Sometimes the cause is a vitamin deficiency. That’s an easy cure. Sometimes the cause is diabetes or pregnancy. One needs doctor’s care or lots of self-care watching diet and exercise and weight. Pregnancy usually takes care of itself after a period of time. 🙂
Immune system dysfunctions also need the care of a doctor but I believe they also need lots of self-care. Perhaps vitamin and mineral deficiencies are contributing to immune system problems. A broken or dislocated wrist can
also cause carpal tunnel symptoms.
But the most frequent cause is…muscles!
Muscles cause carpal tunnel symptoms when they are “out of balance.” That means some are “too tight” and some are “too weak.” The too tight muscles can trap and press on nerves. If the weaker muscles are overstretched, they can cause pain in your hands or arms if they develop “trigger points.”
Trigger points cause pain somewhere else in your body, sometimes quite far away from the trigger point. Claire Davies wrote an easy-to-use and understand self-help book for trigger point therapy.
