How To Choose A Surgeon For Carpal Tunnel Surgery

How to choose a carpal tunnel surgeon?

Why would I be telling you that?  You know that I’m always encouraging you to go the natural route. 🙂

That’s because bodies heal naturally all the time.  That includes yours!  And, yes, it does take some effort on your part.

But some of the people who read this will decide to have a carpal tunnel surgical release so knowing how to pick a surgeon will be helpful.

Right now, there are two types of surgical carpal tunnel releases:

1.  This newer method involves minor cutting and looks like a quicker healing time.  It is called “needle carpal tunnel surgery” or “endoscopic”.

Word of mouth is a good way to find a surgeon who can help.  You’ll want one with a lot of experience in carpal tunnel release surgeries.  That means a doctor who does them daily, not once in a while.

If you go into the “Categories” here and go to the category “Surgery for CTS” you will find several more articles about surgery.

2.  The older method uses a larger incision (cut.)

I have heard lots of complaints from patients who

have had the surgery but I have also talked with some people who were very happy afterward, some almost immediately and others after the surgery healed.
