Stress Relief and Carpal Tunnel Pain Relief

Does carpal tunnel pain cause stress?  Or does stress cause carpal tunnel symptoms?

Everyone has stress, right?  But everyone does not have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.  Why not?

Because there are different types of stress and because people handle stress in different ways.

Stress can cause pain because your body–your system–can stand only so much “noxious” (bad) input.

When there is more stress than your body likes to have, pain is the result.

Bodies are kind of like a television–if there is too much interference, the picture gets out of focus.  If stress causes too much interference, your body gets out of focus and pain is the new show.

And on the other hand, pain causes stress.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, just like any other type of pain, will cause stress.  Same reason; your body can only handle a certain amount of noxious input before it starts to complain.

So, the more stress in your life, the more probability that you will have

carpal tunnel pain.

Your body can only support so much stress before it creates pain.  That’s how your body complains–with pain.  And if you have more pain than the average person, you might have more stress, too.

Here are some quick tips to start to reduce your stress:

1.  Correct your posture; get your chest up and head over your shoulders.  This reduces physical stress which reduces mental stress.

2.  Take deep, slow, relaxing breaths.

3.  Supplement with magnesium and calcium. If this reduces your carpal tunnel discomfort, your stress level will go down.  It’s also known to reduce stress and helps with many body functions!

4.  Eat as well as you can for the most nutrition.  Eat for color and shop the natural products (things that grew) rather than the highly processed “foods.”

5.  Drink enough water.  We need much more than most of us think!

6.  Do gentle, flowing movements with your hands and arms, in all directions.

When you lower your stress level, you will have less carpal tunnel pain.  And when you do things to lessen your pain, you will have less stress.  Stress relief = carpal tunnel pain relief.
