Carpal Tunnel Pain Relief with Trigger Point Therapy

Would you like carpal tunnel pain relief?  Do you know that muscles are the most common cause of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?  Hmmm…let’s talk about trigger points and how muscles cause carpal tunnel symptoms.

Trigger points are hyper-irritable (crabby) areas in your muscles or soft tissues that cause pain elsewhere.  Trigger points can definitely cause pain, numbness, tingling, weakness and other discomfort in many places in your body.  Your carpal tunnel area is one of those “many places.”

If an area is simply tight or tender when you press on it, that’s not a trigger point.  It’s just a tender area.

But, when you press on an area, if you can feel sensation elsewhere–especially somewhere that has been bothering you–that’s a trigger point.  It’s “triggering” a symptom.

That’s what trigger points do:  they cause symptoms.

How can you get rid of trigger points?  You have a couple of options.

1.  You can go to a professional massage therapist who knows about trigger points and carpal tunnel pain relief. You can find an article about how to find a massage therapist who can really make a difference for you if you go to the “Categories” here and open the “Massage” link.
Be sure the practitioner you choose truly understand trigger points and how bodies work.  It’s not commonly taught in massage schools and IS widely misunderstood by massage practitioners and medical personnel.

2.  You can do your own trigger point release.  This can be pretty easy if you know where to look for your trigger points and if you know how to release them.  You can scroll through the ‘Categories’ here and open the ‘Massage’ link to find articles on self-help massage.  Claire Davies wrote a really easy to use self-help trigger point book available at Amazon or your local library.

If you’d like to learn how to do your own trigger point massage, I highly recommend it.  Mr. Davies did an excellent job of explaining trigger points, how to find them and how you, yourself, can “treat” them.

Trigger points in muscles and soft tissues are a common cause of pain and pain syndromes, like carpal tunnel syndrome and other hand/wrist/arm pain.

You can also learn how to avoid and get rid of trigger points and other causes of carpal tunnel pain in the Carpal Tunnel Tool Kit.  It’s an easy-to-use and understand self-help program I created for you.

You can get rid of CT symptoms naturally and forever!
