What Are The Symptoms And Causes Of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome–Is that what you suspect?  What are the symptoms of CTS and what caused it in the first place?

There are many areas of the arm, hand and wrist that may “hurt” or have symptoms of numbness, tingling, burning or pain.  Exactly where it hurts depends on the cause of your symptoms.  And the type of hurt may vary from person to person.

You may experience aching, tingling, burning or a feeling of numbness in your hand, fingers, wrist or arm.  This is caused by something going on in your body.  That “something” could be a vitamin deficiency, an immune system disorder, diabetes or pregnancy, a crushing injury or…our good friends:  muscles!  We’ll talk more about them in a minute.

You might have cramps in your hands or wake during the night with numb, tingling sensations.  You may be unable to unscrew the lid of a jar because you have “no strength” or because it hurts to try.  You might actually drop items.

Muscles are the most commonly overlooked cause of pain in the hand, wrist and arm–the “carpal tunnel” area.  Muscles and

their partners in crime, trigger points.  Right here at CarpalTunnelPainRelief.com you can scroll down through the categories and come to the “triggers” category.  If you click on “triggers”, you will learn a lot about some of the common causes of carpal tunnel symptoms and how to get rid of them.

It doesn’t really matter too much what your carpal tunnel symptoms are.  What does matter is WHY you have them.

You have a very smart body that wants to be well but “something”–or maybe a few somethings–are causing your carpal tunnel symptoms.  Do you have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?  Maybe.  More often it’s just muscle strain or overload or trigger points or the result of your posture.

But, for sure, you do have pain.  Let’s get rid of it!

A syndrome is a collection of symptoms.  It is a name for a disorder.  Something caused the disorder.  We have to get rid of the cause of your pain so you can have carpal tunnel pain relief.
